John Daniel Rudd, M.D.

A native of Middle Tennessee, Dr. Rudd has been practicing internal medicine in Rutherford County since 1984. Dr. Rudd is a board-certified internist.
After earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and completing his medical training at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, Dr. Rudd served on the research advisory committee of the National Institute of Health and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Dr. Rudd is the owner and Medical Director of Cedar Grove Medical Associates. In addition, he is a fellow of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the American Medical Association, (AMA), and the American College of Physicians (ACP) to name a few. He has proudly served Middle Tennessee for more than 35 years.

Jacqueline Peters, MSN/APRN, BC


Jacqueline A. Peters is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been with Cedar Grove Medical Associates since 2007. She completed her undergraduate RN degree at Our Lady of The Elms in Chicopee, Massachusetts in 1987, followed by her master’s degree from Belmont University in Nashville, TN in 1997. Before receiving her NP degree. Ms. Peters worked as an RN in neonatal and pediatric critical care at Boston Children’s Hospital and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Prior to joining Cedar Grove Medical Associates, she spent 10 years as an NP providing acute and chronic care to patients at The Primary Care and Hope Clinic in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Ms. Peters greatly enjoys being able to see and treat patients of all ages. She feels this provides her with the ability to develop long-term relationships and follow patients

throughout their lifetime, treating multiple generations of the same family. She is passionate about promoting health and wellness and believes it is important to spend time listening to patient’s concerns. Her practice includes health and wellness as well as managing acute and chronic issues throughout the lifespan. Professional interests include all aspect of pediatric care, adolescent gynecology and caring for adults with multiple chronic illnesses to improve their quality of life.

She lives in Smyrna and has two children. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Laurel Carrion, APRN, BC

Laurel Carrion is a Nurse Practitioner board certified in Adult Medicine. She graduated in 1990 with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Cedarville University, in Ohio. She completed her Masters of Science from The Ohio State University in 1995. Laurel’s career has included internal medicine in Detroit, Mi, Cardiothoracic Surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center, and Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery at St. Thomas West in Nashville.

Laurel has three grown children and enjoys riding her horses in her downtime
